After some years of honourable service, our Internet site http://www.scuola-toscana.com retires, and here comes the new one – it was ready more or less since May, but only now, with the low season, we dare to tackle the changeover (as for now, it looks we were lucky and did not experience any mayor problem).
Have a look here:
Like the old site, the new is too a work of Dr Duccio Guazzelli, a former (excellent) teacher at the Scuola Toscana turned web programmer around 10 years ago.
The new site should be more modern, faster, cleaner, easier to find for the search engines, and – easier for the directors to tinker with.
Therefore from now on, if there is something wrong or you do not find the necessary information, it is no more the webmaster fault, but just the directors’ fault…
Have a look and be so kind to leave us your opinion !
For everyone who is not at Scuola Toscana these days, the new desk has arrived, and it looks like this. Given the general dimensions of the school, it looks quite imposing, very white, a Moby Dick among the desks.
… you could even land a small airplane on it…
Scuola Toscana 2.0, while the show goes on, the works go on too. The doors on the fourth floor were literally removed to be renovated.
The new desk - Italian design, of course !
A good new is that the new desk has arrived (in Florence) and next week it will be assembled on the third floor. After that, all the wiring at the secretary will be disconnected and re connected (we hope…)
Italian design, with a touch of swiss lettering
Moreover, other small things are in progress, like the new signage… some glitches too, for a mistake in the online order sheet we have ordered some also unfinished printed matter we did not need !
Anyway, we do hope at the end of the day everything will be shiny and new for our Italian language students !
“We invest in people” (not in fancy decor) is the slogan of Scuola Toscana, who became almost a mantra -but in the last 10 years – in spite of a couple of updates – the whole structure of the school has become a bit obsolete…
All of us, directors, teachers, secretaries, agreed: we need to renovate !
So this february is dedicated to change the image of Scuola Toscana: new flooring, new desk, new spaces for the students, new curtains, new recycling bins, new signs…
many things to do, we need our student’s patience, but we promise that a 22 years-old school will become a brand-new Scuola Toscana 2.0 !
